It’s the weekend, and I have the deets on what’s #CHICK and chic to do this weekend in the D:

Dance Theatre of Harlem in Detroit | Friday – Sunday | Feb. 12-14th | Multiple Showtimes

Dispelling the belief that ballet could not be performed by those of African descent, Arthur Mitchell and Karel Shook founded the Dance Theatre of Harlem in 1969. Now, over 40 years later, the work of the Dance Theatre of Harlem has astonished and lifted the spirits of Detroit audiences in regular performances at the Detroit Opera House. The dynamism and boundless energy and talent of the Dance Theatre of Harlem, straight from the vaunted Apollo Theater in New York, provide the perfect plans for Valentine’s Day weekend.
